Vertikal (“Vertikal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website, including the services portals provided there (Certfocus & Prequal / hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).  This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Site and the choices you have associated with that data.


We use your data to provide and improve the Site. By accessing and using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.  If you do not agree with the way we collect and use your personal information, do not continue to use the Site.

Business Contact Information


Business Contact Information is information about your business, including the name of your business, its address, telephone number, fax number, and Federal Tax ID number.  When you register through our portals, we may also ask you to provide a contact name, email, and or phone number.


Personal Information


Personal Information (“Personal Information” or “PI”) is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual.  We may ask you to provide your Personal Information voluntarily as you interact with us on the Site, or that we may collect it automatically as you use the Site.  Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your:

  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address
  • IP (Internet Protocol) address



Internet Activity Data


We may also collect information on how you access and use the Site (“Activity Data”). This Activity Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version, the specific pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.


Location Data


We may use and store information about your location if you give us permission to do so (“Location Data”).  We use this data to provide features of our Site, to improve and customize our Site. Tracking & Cookies Data


We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Site.  Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. We do not provide a payment system on the Site and do not collect, process, or store your payment information.  If payment is required, you will be directed to a third party payment processors to complete the transaction. They may require you to provide payment information such as a debit or credit card number, card expiration date, billing address, and card security code information (collectively “Payment Card Information”).  The collection and use of Payment Card Information is governed by the terms of service and privacy policy of the third party payment processor, and not under this Policy.




Vertikal uses the collected data for the following purposes:

Google Analytics
On the Site we use Google Analytics, a third party analytic tool which uses cookies to measure, analyze, and report on access to and usage of our Site.  Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic.  When you access the Site, your web browser automatically sends certain information to us and to Google, which is used to understand how visitors to our Site engage with our Site.  This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.  Google Analytics does not collect sensitive information on our Site, as described in the Google AdWords sensitive category restrictions.


You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Site available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Our Site uses a HubSpot, including the Hubsport Sales and Marketing Tool, which uses cookies or similar tracking technologies to track users of the Site and gathers demographic information about them.  HubSpot keeps track of the Site and pages you visit within HubSpot. We use this data to deliver tailored content and promotions to users who show interests in particular topics.




Vertikal does not disclose, sell, rent, or lease any Personal Information about you that we collect to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or that you provide as described in this Privacy Policy, including:


  • Disclosures With Your Consent. We may disclose your Personal Information to third parties with your consent, or if we notify you that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information.


  • Disclosure to Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals (“Service Providers”) to facilitate our Site, provide the Site on our behalf, perform Site-related services or assist us in monitoring, analyzing and improving how our Site is used.  These third parties may have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

The data we collected is processed and stored on servers located in the United States.  Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.


If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Information, to the United States and process it there.  Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.


Vertikal will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Information will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.




Vertikal will retain your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies.


Vertikal will also retain Activity Data for internal analysis purposes. Activity Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Site, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

We do not support Do Not Track (“DNT”). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.
